Professional Cordless Lighting for Demanding Tasks

The PCW12Q rechargeable LED floodlight delivers trade-grade illumination directly where you need it most. Designed for professional tradespeople, automotive mechanics, and demanding DIYers, this compact work light combines high luminous power with exceptional mechanical flexibility. Encased in a rugged aluminium housing, the lamp head delivers up to 1100 lumens of uniform, glare-optimised area light that effortlessly illuminates dark work bays, structural shells, and machinery interiors.

Tailored Light for Every Application

Different tasks require different illumination. The PCW12Q features two distinct sets of high-output LEDs, allowing you to cycle through three tailored light modes at the turn of a dial. Cool White provides razor-sharp clarity and high contrast for detailed inspections, wiring, and assembly. Warm White minimises glare and eye strain during extended work in confined spaces, while Mixed Light offers a perfectly balanced flood beam ideal for wall preparation, decorating, and large indoor areas. With the dedicated rotary dimmer, you can smoothly adjust the light output from 10% to 100%, ensuring you only use the power you need and maximising battery life.

Full Freedom of Movement and Positioning

Fixing work lights to uneven or awkward surfaces can disrupt your workflow. The PCW12Q eliminates this problem with multiple clever mounting options. The heavy-duty magnetic base clamps firmly onto steel racking, vehicle hoists, or body panels, holding the lamp securely in place even when tilted. For elevated area coverage, the integrated standard tripod thread mounts directly onto commercial work light tripods. In addition, the sturdy folding bracket allows the lamp to hang from scaffolding, hooks, or engine bays. Thanks to its 360-degree rotating and tilting head, you can direct light around obstacles with pinpoint accuracy. After work is complete, the lamp head folds completely flat against the base, protecting the panel and slipping neatly into your tool bag.

Reliable Battery Power, Built-in Safety, and CE Compliance

Powering this professional work light is a high-capacity, built-in 7.4 V Li-ion battery pack (4400 mAh, 33 Wh) that delivers up to 32 hours of continuous operation in low-output mode (60 lm). A 4-stage blue LED status indicator informs you of remaining runtime at a glance, while an automatic red base warning light activates during operation for added site awareness. If your mobile phone or small electronic device runs low on power, the integrated USB output serves as an on-the-go power bank. Recharging takes just 3 hours via the protected USB-C port and the supplied 12 V power supply. Developed under stringent German brand quality controls, the PCW12Q guarantees top-tier operational safety, complies fully with European CE standards, and is rated IPX6 to withstand heavy site dust and driving rain without failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I charge my smartphone directly from the PCW12Q?

Yes. The PCW12Q is equipped with a USB power bank output, allowing you to charge smartphones and other small electronic devices directly from the lamp's 33 Wh battery pack when on site.

Is the lamp suitable for heavy rain and outdoor construction sites?

The lamp is rated to IPX6, meaning it is thoroughly protected against heavy dust, rain, and powerful jets of water. While it should not be submerged, it is perfectly suited for tough outdoor and construction environments.

How do I switch between colour modes and dim the light?

The lamp features two distinct red rotary dials on the base. One switch selects the operational modes (Cool White, Warm White, Mixed Light, and Off), while the second dial provides smooth, stepless dimming from 10% to 100% across all light colours.

Can I mount the PCW12Q onto standard camera or construction tripods?

Yes. A standard tripod mounting thread is built directly into the side of the base, allowing seamless installation on standard work site and photography tripods without extra adaptors.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Runtime depends on the chosen brightness level: running at maximum brightness (up to 1100 lm) provides approximately 3 hours of continuous runtime, while dimming down to the 60-lumen low level offers up to 32 hours of uninterrupted light.

Safety Instructions

⚠️ Safety and Warning Instructions for Flashlights, Work Lights, Headlamps, and Camping Lanterns

Before using our lighting products (such as high-performance flashlights, workshop and inspection lights, headlamps, and camping lanterns), please be sure to observe the following warnings:

Visual Hazards & Glare (Eye Protection)

  • Glare hazard: Modern LED lamps have extremely high luminosity. Never look directly into the beam of light and do not direct it at the eyes of people or animals.
  • Traffic Safety: Never shine a blinding light into traffic or at moving vehicles, as this can cause temporary blindness and serious accidents.
  • Stroboscopic effect: Using the strobe function (rapid flashing) may trigger epileptic seizures in susceptible individuals. Use with extreme caution!

Heat Generation & Fire Hazard

  • Burn Hazard: High-performance lamps generate enormous heat at the lamp head and lens during operation (especially at the highest brightness levels). Avoid prolonged skin contact with these areas.
  • Fire hazard due to covering: Always turn off the lamp before setting it down or stowing it in a bag. A covered, switched-on lamp traps heat, which can cause materials to melt or lead to fires.
  • Transport safety: When transporting in backpacks or suitcases, always use the mechanical lock-out (e.g., slightly unscrewing the end cap) or the electronic button lock to prevent accidental activation.

Battery & Rechargeable Battery Safety (Especially Lithium-Ion)

  • Fire and Explosion Hazard: For devices with lithium batteries (e.g., 18650, 21700), use only undamaged, high-quality brand-name cells. Rechargeable batteries with damaged insulation (heat-shrink tubing) or deformations must not be used anymore and may explode if short-circuited.
  • Charging: Charge rechargeable batteries only with the chargers and cables provided or explicitly approved for this purpose. Never leave lithium-ion batteries unattended while charging, and charge them on a fire-resistant surface.
  • Polarity & Mixed Use: Always ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries. Never mix old batteries with new ones or cells from different manufacturers and with different capacities.
  • Risk of Leakage: Remove alkaline batteries from the lamp if it will not be used for an extended period of time to prevent damage from leaking battery acid.

Mechanical Hazards, Environmental Conditions & Handling

  • Strong magnets: Many workshop lamps and angled flashlights have strong neodymium magnets in the base. Keep these away from pacemakers, medical implants, magnetic data storage devices, and sensitive electronics.
  • Strangulation hazard: When using headlamps, there is a risk of the headband getting caught (e.g., on branches or rotating machine parts). Special caution is required when used by children.
  • Water resistance (IP ratings): Observe the specified protection class. Lights rated for splash resistance (e.g., IPX4) must not be submerged in water. Before any contact with water, always check that the charging ports and sealing rings (O-rings) are intact and tightly sealed.
  • Children: Flashlights, especially those with small parts that could be swallowed or high-performance batteries, are not toys and must be kept out of the reach of small children.
