Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC) / Supercapacitors


 

Electrical double layer capacitors (EDLC), also known as "supercapacitors," are next-generation energy storage devices with excellent cycle characteristics. Having the highest energy density of all capacitors, they close the gap between batteries and conventional capacitors. In order to achieve higher voltages, individual cells can be connected in series or parallel, allowing supercapacitor modules to be created. Leitfähige Hybrid Polymer-Elektrolytkondensatoren / Hybridkondensatoren


 

Using a combination of conductive, electrical polymer materials and liquid electrolytes, conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors combine the best of both worlds. The polymer enables low electrostatic discharge resistance (ESR) and high ripple current, while the liquid electrolytes provide low leakage current and reliable short-circuit protection. In addition, the capacitors can withstand high voltages and offer higher capacitance values.

Polymer Electrolytic Capacitors / Polymer Capacitors


 

Conductive polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors use a highly electrically conductive polymer as the electrolyte. The material composition enables the capacitors to have a lower internal resistance (ESR) and to withstand higher currents. Because of the high polymer content, the electrolyte contains little liquid and therefore poses little risk of drying out. Since the polymer adapts at high temperatures, the capacitor life is not affected by temperature, resulting in longer overall durability and life. Due to their suitability for high frequency applications, polymer capacitors are ideal for digital circuits.

Samwha's miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitor series consist of radial capacitors with lead wires that can be shaped according to customer requirements. The capacitors are available with different connections and in different sizes / capacities. Often, miniature capacitors have lower capacitance than conventional block types, but offer excellent impedance characteristics. Various series are available to meet the requirements of each specific application.

Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors (Snap-In, Screw Terminal)


 

Samwha's large aluminum electrolytic capacitor series are available as snap-in, screw-in and special types for specific applications. The snap-in types are easy to mount on the PCB and offer many advantages in terms of voltage size and capacitance of the product. The screw-in capacitors are often used for large capacitance or industrial applications.
